The mission of ESGAO is to provide education of the membership and the public about the characteristics of the greyhound breed and assist in the transition of the dogs from racing property to companion pets. ESGAO adopts retired racing greyhounds when they retire (or from individuals or groups that can no longer maintain care of the greyhound). ESGAO receives the dog(s), evaluates them for needed veterinary care, initial training, and temperament. The dogs will be fostered to provide initial acclimation to home life.
