The mission of the organization is to help women with the condition overcome their symptoms and reduce their risk for life-threatening related conditions including type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, stroke and cancer. PCOS Challenge has six major program areas: (1) Research; (2) Patient and Healthcare Professional Education; (3) Advocacy and Health Policy; (4) Patient Support and Empowerment; (5) Awareness; and (6) Access to Care and Grant Programs.
