Guiding PhilosophyThe guiding philosophy of the Tiburon Foundation is that people who are born into fortunate circumstances must honor all that they have received in life by recognizing that many people have not been so lucky due to no fault of their own. The Foundation believes that it is the responsibility of those who are advantaged to challenge systems of privilege and to address inequities especially those due to race class and gender. The Foundation believes in the moral imperative to carry out its mission by contributing to individuals families and organizations both within our own community and in communities across the world. Major Areas of InterestThe Tiburon Foundation seeks to contribute to individuals and organizations that support these goalsEducation Programs and scholarships that enable individuals to reach their full potential especially those individuals who have been educationally disadvantaged or who have lacked economic opportunity.
