A2Empowerment, Incorporated is a nonprofit that provides educational scholarships and support to girls and women so that they may increase their knowledge and empower themselves to lead healthier, more productive lives. Since our founding in 2008, A2Empowerment has awarded more than 2,000 academic scholarships in Cameroon to young women in the later stages of high school who have dropped out of school or are at high risk of dropping out of school. Scholarship recipients are identified and supported throughout the school year by mentors. A2Empowerment mentors meet monthly with their group of scholarship recipients to discuss women's empowerment topics, like heath and finances, develop a community project and monitor academic progress.
