Check out what’s growing in our Queen Park Learning Garden: Marigolds! Here’s some cool things you should know about these golden superheroes: 🌱 Nature’s Pest Repellent: Marigolds are famous for keeping pesky bugs at bay! Their strong scent confuses harmful insects like aphids and mosquitoes, making them perfect companions in the garden. 🌞 Sun Lovers: These vibrant beauties thrive in the sun and can even handle the hottest days! 🌸 Edible Blooms: Marigold petals are edible. They have a zesty, peppery flavor that can elevate any dish! 🌿 Healing Powers: Marigolds have been used for centuries in traditional medicine for their anti-inflammatory properties. Their extracts are often used in skincare products to soothe and heal. 🦋 Butterfly & Bee Magnet: Marigolds attract pollinators like bees and butterflies, helping to support the health of your garden’s ecosystem. Come back Friday for tips from our Health Equity team to help you grow Marigolds and keep them thriving all year long. . . . #marigolds #learn #grow #change #gardentips #urbangarden #tips #growyourown #healthequity #inglewood #queenpark #flowersmakemehappy (fb)
