TO DISCOVER, PROCURE AND PRESERVE MATERIAL OF ALL KINDS WHICH ILLUSTRATES AMERICAN HISTORY AND TO ENGAGE IN KINDRED PURPOSES OF A LAWFUL NATURE. TO ENCOURAGE AND AID IN THE PRESERVATION OF HISTORICAL BUILDINGS AND LANDMARKS.
