Lenten Love in Action Day 24 Corner Cupboard Charities and Thrift Shop is a local non-profit organization that has been in operation for 65 years. All profits are donated to 45+ different charities including Catholic Social Services. With an all-volunteer staff, it is run by the community for the community. Joe Klosterman is their leader. But if you ask Joe, he will tell you that the volunteers and lead volunteers are the ones who produce the best outcomes. Of their nearly 100 volunteers, each person has a “department” that they work in. This helps to keep operations smooth. Check out their location, opened in 2011/2012 on Xenia Ave. to shop their products or donate. You never know what you might find or who you might help! Thank you to Corner Cupboard Charities and Thrift Shop for your continued support of CSSMV! Corner Cupboard Charities of Greater Dayton, Inc. Lenten Love in Action Day 23 Have you heard of the RideConnect Volunteer Driver Program at Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley? Ann has been a RideConnect volunteer for three years! After a referral from Father Matt Feist at St. Mary’s Church in Greenville, Heather Robison, Transportation Community Liaison with CSSMV, was able to connect with Ann at a Darke County Ministerial Association meeting and get her signed up to be a RideConnect volunteer after sharing the program information. She became CSSMV’s first Darke County volunteer driver. Last year Ann received the Pam Fenn Volunteer Award for RideConnect. Thank you, Ann and all of our wonderful volunteers with RideConnect! Your kindness helps so many.
