Introducing the Ohio Art League April Featured Artist, Glenn Mackie! Glenn is a Dublin, Ohio based artist who works primarily in oils. After graduating with a BFA from the Columbus College of Art and Design where he majored in lithography and sculpture. He went on to major in printmaking and painting and acquire an MFA from the University of Wisconsin. He is a member of the Ohio Plein Air Society, the Dublin Area Arts League as well as the Ohio Arts League. Over the years Glenn has been included in numerous local and national shows. Most recently, he won the Award of Excellence in the 2022 Bryn Du National Competition and he received a second place in the Ohio Arts League Fall Exhibition 2024. Glenn’s influences are Edward Hopper, George Bellows, John Singer Sargent, and Andrew Wyeth. He is inspired by the rural and urban landscapes as well as still life of the common objects.
