Immersing yourself in nature can be beneficial during times of grief and loss. Join Rainbow Community Care this Thursday, June 5th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Brandt-Quirk Park (800 Carriage Hill Dr.) in Watertown for a guided walk through the woods. Together, we will acknowledge various aspects of grief and explore how spending time outdoors can support the grieving process. Interested participants will meet near the Storybook Trail, past the baseball diamonds. Please note that the paths are not paved, so we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. Everyone is welcome, and there is no pressure to talk during the walk. We expect the excursion to take around an hour and you may join the walk at 10 or 11 a.m. The event will offer space for quiet reflection, shared stories, and healing connections. Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who joined us for our volunteer appreciation lunch at the Johnson Creek Community Center on Thursday. The event provided a great opportunity for volunteers to connect over delicious food and enjoy some conversation while they played a few rounds of bingo for a chance to win some prizes.
