🎉 Today we are celebrating two dynamic parent and child volunteer duos from the 2025 Nebraska 4-H Volunteer Recognition award winners! 🎉 Congratulations to Hunter Creech, Outstanding Youth Volunteer award winner, and Natalie Creech, Outstanding Adult Volunteer from Engagement Zone One! What is your favorite memory as a 4-H volunteer? “My favorite part of 4-H volunteering is helping other youth find something new they enjoy. For example, I have been able to share my skills in my robotics club. Helping a youth that is struggling with their robot get their robots to accomplish the task and see the light bulb go off is the best. I also enjoy teaching youth in my 4-H sewing club new skills like setting up a sewing machine or how to sew a curve. Then a few months later after they have learned these new skills, seeing how proud of the item or garment that they have created. You just cannot forget it!” - Hunter Creech How have you helped youth find their spark through 4-H? “As a club leader, I try to host a variety of learning activities during our club meetings, so youth have an exposure to new ideas, skills, and can further their knowledge and skills in topics they are already familiar with. I like to point out to youth how the skills and knowledge they are gaining are skills they will use in their future. 4-H truly builds life skills! I encourage youth to participate in county events such as the Speech and Communications contest and support them as they try new things. Oftentimes, it's the new experiences that are the most intimidating for youth to try, but once they do, they will usually participate again and again and their confidence soars!” - Natalie Creech Congratulations and thank you for your contributions to the 4-H program in Scotts Bluff County! 🎉 Let’s start celebrating the 2025 Nebraska 4-H Volunteer Recognition award winners! 🎉 Congratulations to the Raynell Able Family from Nemaha County! They were chosen as one of the Multi-Generation Family of Volunteers award recipients. The individual who nominated the family said the following about the Able family: The Able family help youth find their spark by being organizational leaders for the BU Stockraisers 4-H Club in Nemaha County. It's the biggest club in our county. Each year the club does a project, and it is fun to see what they come up with and the Able family helping lead the youth in it. As the poultry superintendent Jody is very patient with the kids, helping them get ready for the show and take care of their birds.
