This World Health Day, we’re celebrating the power of early intervention to create healthier beginnings and more hopeful futures. When kids receive therapy early, they build the foundation for independence, success in school, and a future where they can thrive. Research shows that early intervention leads to stronger social skills, better mental health, and a greater likelihood of pursuing higher education and joining the workforce. Investing in a child’s health today opens the door to everything they’ll achieve tomorrow. https://www.schreiberpediatric.org/ways-to-give/donate/ (fb)

If you ask six-year-old Sirus what he’s working on in occupational therapy, he’ll tell you, “Everything!” with a big grin. And he’s not wrong. With Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), everyday tasks require extra effort from Sirus. Buttoning his shirt, grasping a fork, maneuvering his wheelchair with precision. It all takes strength, coordination, and practice. That’s where OT comes in. Through fun, hands-on activities, he’s learning to build the skills that make daily life easier and finding ways to adapt and do things his way. This month, please help us celebrate all of Schreiber’s amazing occupational therapists by donating an item from their wish list to say thank you for empowering our kiddos kids to take on the world! https://www.schreiberpediatric.org/ways-to-give/our-wish-lists/ (fb)
