Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, we are an organization dedicated to teaching, performing and the proliferation of the instruments of the mandolin family, and the preservation of mandolin music. Mission Statement The Pittsburgh Mandolin Orchestra is dedicated to the preservation and proliferation of authentic and original mandolin music, and mandolin related stringed instruments of all cultures. Further, it provides the opportunity for local musicians to perform, entertain, and educate, thereby giving audiences an evening of cultural enrichment and the joy of listening. The ethnic uniqueness of our music appeals to many communities of Pittsburgh and promotes socio-cultural tolerance.
