Welcome to ASMEA Our mission is to promote the highest standards of academic research and teaching in the fields of Middle Eastern and African studies and related disciplines through programs publications and services that support our members the international community of scholars and interested members of the public. 2025 Research Grant Opportunities To stimulate new and diverse lines of discourse about the Middle East and Africa the ASMEA Research Grant Program seeks to support research on topics that deserve greater attention. Grants of 2500 will be awarded to successful applicants. Travel Grant Program The ASMEATravel Grant Programwill award up to 750 to assist presenters with expenses associated with attending the Annual ASMEA Conference in Washington D.
