Cameron University is saddened to learn of the deaths of two former faculty members. Emeritus Professor Ira Kennedy, who guided the agriculture program for 35 years, was passionate about education. His extensive knowledge of livestock and agricultural practices benefitted hundreds of CU students during his tenure. His influence extended beyond the classroom, as he formed lifelong friendships with his fellow professors, former students and colleagues throughout Oklahoma. A native of Yugoslavia who earned a Ph.D. at the University of Belgrade, Dr. Dragan Jankovic was a stalwart of Cameron’s mathematics program from 1995 through 2015, when he retired at the rank of professor. Jankovic served as interim chair of the Department of Mathematics in 2004. In addition to his classroom duties, he was a frequent speaker at math-related symposia and published a significant volume of research throughout his academic career. The university extends condolences to the families of these two outstanding former educators. (fb)
