Congratulations to Ainat Margalit, Director of our Consumer Practice Group, on her induction into the American College of Bankruptcy 2025 Fellowship Class. This honor recognizes her excellence and contributions to the bankruptcy and insolvency field. Legal Aid Chicago is excited to announce the community partner recipient of our 2025 Champion of Justice Award: South Suburban Housing Center, which is a fair housing and housing counseling agency with whom we have partnered for decades. Most recently, through its Inclusive Communities Fund, SSHC was able to provide our clients with almost $200,000 to pay mortgage and property tax delinquencies – saving 14 homes worth a total of $3.5 million. SSHC’s outstanding partnership with Legal Aid Chicago and service to our clients will be celebrated at our Annual Luncheon on Wednesday, June 18th at the Palmer House. Tickets are now available on our website. Please join us to honor SSHC and its invaluable partnership with Legal Aid Chicago! (fb)
