Dawn Gearheart has always embraced challenge. Water skiing pushed her to sharpen her focus and stay in control, skills that became lifesaving when she found herself facing stage 4 rectal cancer. Her care team at Lehigh Valley Topper Cancer Institute, whom she calls her “A team,” guided her through 2 1/2 years of chemotherapy, radiation and multiple surgeries.
