The Class Jump web application is user friendly, flexible and dynamic, and uses the newest emerging technology. Using a self-administrative format similar to social networking sites, it allows teachers and schools to create their own free websites where students and parents can become members. It streamlines the communication process by equipping members with a convenient unified interactive platform, fostering collaboration among members and creating an environment of innovation and progress. As a student, Class Jump acts like a virtual classroom. They can up and download homework assignments, research past and future projects, and privately and securely email teachers, guidance councilors or school administrators. As a parent, the website enables them to easily interact with teachers and coaches creating more collaborative and informed relationships and they are given the ability to monitor their child’s agenda, assignments, obligations and progress reports.The teacher uses Class Jump to create full customized websites, to communicate with students and parents and even as a planning tool in collaboration with school administrators. Teachers are able to engage with students through message boards and are able to pool and share resources with other teachers. Additionally, by using Class Jump, teachers are giving students the opportunity to participate in processes representative of innovative professionals. Skills they will certainly use far into the future. For school administrators, Class Jump offers an expanded membership geared toward unifying functionality within the entire school.
