Meedan is a global non-profit that builds and implements technologies that strengthen journalism, digital literacy and information on the internet. We build tools for the annotation, verification, and translation of digital content, and we work with newsrooms, NGOs and academic institutions to develop research and editorial projects that support our vision of an internet founded on equity, transparency and collaboration. Our core pillars of work include technology development, network building, strategic training, collaborative and ethical data collection and rigorous research.
