The Izaak Walton League of America (IWLA) is a prominent American nonprofit conservation organization dedicated to protecting and preserving the country's natural resources. Founded in 1922 in Chicago, Illinois, by a group of 54 fishing enthusiasts and outdoor advocates, the League is named after Izaak Walton, a 17th-century British fishing enthusiast and author of "The Compleat Angler."
