ATOS Convention 2025 The Milwaukee Oriental Theatre was designed in 1927 to feel like a “Temple of Oriental art,” incorporating Indian, Moorish, Islamic, and Byzantine architectural styles. The original Barton theatre organ was removed in 1959, but in 2023 JL Weiler, Inc. installed Wurlitzer opus 1097, the 3/15 Style 260 from the Atlanta Paramount Theatre. With a restoration that is unaltered from the original factory state, ATOS convention goers will hear two programs on the Wurlitzer, the Young Organist Competition, with an encore performance by the 2023 winner, Ian Fraser, and a full concert by Richard Hills. https://www.atos.org/convention (fb)
