Congratulations on Your Retirement, Dr. Susan McMullan! 🎉 Please join us in congratulating Dr. McMullan on her well-deserved retirement! After an extraordinary career spanning over 35 years, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Susan McMullan on her well-deserved retirement from her position as Program Director of UAB’s Nurse Anesthesia Program. Dr. McMullan joined UAB in 2015, bringing a wealth of experience from her previous roles at Rush University and Rosalind Franklin University. At UAB, she has been instrumental in transitioning the Nurse Anesthesia Program from a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) to a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) pathway, graduating the first doctorally prepared class during the COVID-19 pandemic. She also played a key role in addressing the CRNA workforce shortage in Alabama by increasing class sizes and securing additional clinical training sites. Your leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to nurse anesthesia education have left an indelible mark on the profession. We are grateful for her years of dedication, leadership, and service. She will be greatly missed, and we wish her all the best in this exciting new chapter! (fb)
