PLYMOUTH COMMUNITY THEATRE INC
Plymouth Community Theatre is a non profit performing arts collaborative based in America's hometown of Plymouth, MA. Our mission is to produce high caliber performance pieces while providing a local venue for both amateur and professional talent. Founded in 2007, PCT is the brainchild of several original members of the Pinehills Players. Starting out on a high note with "The Butler Did It...Singing," PCT quickly garnered attention for its high spirited productions. In collaboration with visionary director Dani Duggan, PCT charted a new course with their spring 2008 production of Lanford Wilson's "Book of Days," earning critical praise and devoted fans. With their inaugural "Shakespeare on the Rock" production of "Much Ado About Nothing," PCT has firmly established themselves as a driving force in the revitalization of the Plymouth arts community. It is with great pride that we present the happenings of the Plymouth Community Theatre to the greater Plymouth area. Now in its ninth year of operation, we have produced many fine performances staged right here in the center of town. Our range includes musicals, dramas & variety shows. PCT has provided a venue for local actors and singers to participate in varied theatrical opportunities. We have been thrilled with the high number of thespians that have come forward to participate, and, we also have been impressed with the high level of talent they bring to us, resulting in top quality shows that have pleased our audiences. Additionally, we have been blessed with the work of a series of very talented directors, stage managers and behind-the-scenes crew members. These unsung heroes are the lifeblood of the theater. We are grateful to the town of Plymouth & especially to the Greater Plymouth Performance Art Center known as The SPIRE; to the many supporters that have attended our productions and have cheered us on; to the media for the fine reporting; and to those individuals and businesses that have made donations to help defray our expenses. This truly has been a town-wide project. The work continues. We need more help. Please consider stepping on board and joining us in a future endeavor. Join our mailing list, stay tuned to the local newspapers for announcements on upcoming events, check our website frequently and take the risk to become involved. You will have the time of your life!PCT Board
