The Dougherty Mission House was placed on the National Historic Register in 2011, securing its proper place as a significant part of Michigan and Native American history. The home opened as a museum on June 15, 2019. PRESERVATION & RESTORATION OF HISTORIC HOME SITE. MANAGE THE MUSEUM AT THE SAME LOCATION.

HOME The 1842 Dougherty Mission House closes its 2024 tour season after the Saturday October 19th tour at 4 PM after greeting guests on Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11 AM to 4 PM. We look forward to sharing this incredible restored historic site and its story where Old Mission Peninsula earned its name in 2025. We have already begun scheduling group tours for 2025. If you are interested in reserving a time for a group tour please contact us at emailprotectedWatch for our 2025 season opening.
