The Barrington Youth Dance Ensemble (BYDE) is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1989 and based in Barrington, Illinois. Through quality dance performances, BYDE promotes artistic integrity, understanding, involvement and awareness among people of all ages through the Greater Chicago Area. As a proud standard-bearer for the arts in suburban Chicago, the BYDE organization works to make dance artistry accessible, meaningful and enriching for people of all ages and backgrounds. It is the goal of the BYDE to build on this positive artistic presence. Our audience grows each year through performance events that include productions of The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty and Coppelia; active community outreach; and training. For thousands of Greater Chicago Area adults and children, the BYDE makes the arts come alive.
