Appalachian Audubon Society Conservation Education Restoration WelcomeLearn More As a chapter of National Audubon Society our purpose is to conduct education science and charitable activities to conserve and restore natural ecosystems focusing on birds other wildlife and their habitats. Appalachian Audubon Society News Alert Regrettably the March 3 2025 field trip to MiddleCreek Wildlife Management Area has been canceled. Due to the highly pathogenic avian influenza HPAI that is currently affecting many parts of the state the Pennsylvania Game Commission is restricting public access at MiddleCreek Wildlife Management Area. Many of the areas that we normally visit such as the Willow Point Access the Boat Launch area and the Wildlife Drive very likely will be closed to the public.
