Welcome to the Association for Academic Pathology. The Associations Council is excited to announce that the voting Chair members recently approved Bylaws changes that include renaming the organization to the Association for Academic Pathology using the acronym AAPath. This issue was discussed at length by APC Council and Section Chairs since last July before the Bylaws changes were brought to a vote. Renaming the organization is a major step that was driven by these goals The renaming follows an expansion of regular membership to be less focused on allopathic medical school designation and more inclusive of all academicbased contributions to education research and practice.
