Harlem Growns mission is to inspire youth to lead healthy and ambitious lives through mentorship and hands-on education in urban farming, sustainability, and nutrition. Since healthy habits start young, we target low-income Harlem youth ages 5-18 across our programming. Today, the organization operates 13 urban agricultural sites, seven immersive school partnerships, weekly Saturday programming, a 7-week Summer Camp, farm-based education tours for hundreds of schools and community organizations, monthly community events, an after school program, and a Mobile Teaching Kitchen that travels throughout Harlem to carry out our mission. At Harlem Grown, we work alongside our community to support and empower them to lead healthy lives.
