🎵 Bravo! 🎵 For 4 days, New Jersey Symphony played a jam-packed program starting with the Polonaise from Tchaikovsky's greatest opera, Eugene Onegin, conducted by Gregory D. McDaniel. Music Director Xian Zhang then led the Symphony's performance of Billy Childs' Diaspora written for & played by the charismatic saxophonist Steven Banks. He proceeded to delight audiences with a special encore featuring Albert Hay Malotte's The Lord's Prayer to end the first half on a high note. The only way to follow up such a riveting opening is with the sheer magnitude of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony! Montclair Choral directed by Heather J. Buchanan joined Felicia Moore, soprano, Kelley O'Connor, mezzo-soprano, tenor Issachah Savage, & baritone Reginald Smith, Jr., Baritone to do just that with conductor Xian Zhang once again on the podium.
