Promoting enhanced uses of contemporary technologies in education; Exploring emerging technologies that can enrich learning environments and teaching methods; Experimenting with open source technologies to determine whether they meet the standards established and recognized in the national system of higher education; Providing venues for non-commercial testing of new technological products and updates of the previously developed products; Providing a forum for sharing best practices in development, training, use, and support; for addressing members' problems and concerns; for exchanging ideas and encouraging creative approaches to technology-aided teaching; and for effective communication with developers of the relevant technologies; and Fostering a community dedicated to dissemination of the most advanced knowledge and best practices in education; Conducting any and all lawful activities which may be useful in accomplishing the foregoing purposes.
