DISCOVER JEFFERSON CITY WILL DEVELOP FUNDRAISING STRATEGIES TO PROMOTE TOURISM IN THE JEFFERSON CITY COMMUNITY.

Who We Are The purpose of Discover Jefferson City is to work cooperatively with the Jefferson City Convention and Visitors Bureau to develop and promote tourism and tourist sites in the central Missouri area and to educate residents and tourists as is more specifically provided hereafter. The corporation is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable educational scientific and literary purposes including the carrying on of projects and activities cooperatively with the Jefferson City Convention and Visitors Bureau Inc. which cooperative projects and activities are consistent with this corporations charitable educational scientific and literary purposes. Such purposes include but are not limited to Educating the residents potential visitors and visitors to the Jefferson City area about the diverse cultural historic educational scientific civic and athletic attractions and events available to the public in the Jefferson City areaProviding information advice and assistance to the residents potential visitors and visitors to the Jefferson City area regarding issues related to tourism including directions transportation and safety andOrganizing and operating one or more visitors centers in the Jefferson City area to carry out the purposes described above.
