The Community Foundation of NJ creates and scales custom solutions for purpose-driven individuals, families, and businesses. Families, businesses and foundations are at the heart of the Community Foundation. Each has an individual vision, but all share a common purpose: to achieve the best outcomes from their giving โ today and tomorrow. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES FUNDING FOR CHILDREN WITH KIDNEY DISORDERS TO ATTEND SLEEP-AWAY SUMMER CAMP AT THE FROST VALLEY YMCA CAMP IN THE CATSKILL MOUNTAINS. IT IS THE ONLY CAMP PROGRAM IN THE COUNTRY THAT MAINSTREAMS "KIDNEY KIDS" WITH HEALTHY CAMPERS. KIDNEY CAMPERS GET THE DIALYSIS AND/OR MEDICATIONS THEY NEED AT THE RUTH GOTTSCHO DIALYSIS CENTER ON SITE. DIALYSIS SCHEDULES ARE ARRANGED TO ALLOW FOR MAXIMUM PARTICIPATION IN THE CAMP ACTIVITIES WITH REGULAR CAMPERS.

The Ruth Gottscho Kidney Foundation Current Funds The Ruth Gottscho Kidney Foundation In 2020 The Ruth Gottscho Kidney Foundation RGKF became a fund affiliated with the Community Foundation of New Jersey CFNJ. This partnership helps us to sustain our work into the future while maintaining our existing mission making the dream of summer camp a reality for children with kidney disorders. We benefit from CFNJs philanthropic expertise administrative support and technical knowledge to ensure your contribution has the greatest positive impact for children and their families. Located at the Frost Valley YMCA in the Catskills our program is the only sleepaway camp that mainstreams children with kidney disease with healthy campers.
