
Bayou City Waterkeeper
We work to improve water quality, preserve wetlands, and ensure a just climate transition for the communities across the Lower Galveston Bay watershed. We advocate for clean water, wetlands, flood resilience/equity, & water justice in greater Houston. Bayou City Waterkeeper works to protect and restore the integrity of our bayous, rivers, streams, and bays throughout the Lower Galveston Bay watershed through advocacy, education, and action. By holding polluters accountable, our goal is to make our waterways fishable, swimmable, and drinkable for all.

Bayou City Waterkeeper
Bayou City Waterkeeper is a U.S. nonprofit organization operating as a 501(c)(3) entity, focused on environmental quality, protection, and beautification, as well as natural resources conservation and protection. Formerly known as Galveston Baykeeper, the organization is part of the Waterkeeper Alliance, a global movement aimed at preserving water quality around the world.
