Happy Older Americans Month! VOA shines a light on Volunteers of America Colorado's Sunset Park Apartments. These apartments provide more than housing – they offer a lifeline to more than 200 seniors and people with disabilities. Many have experienced homelessness or lived without stability for years. For them, Sunset Park is more than four walls – it’s a chance to heal, connect, and thrive. This week, President and CEO of Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada Christie Holderegger and team had the incredible opportunity to bring the voices of their community to Capitol Hill in D.C.! The team met with policymakers to advocate for stronger support in building our thriving communities and uplifting those we serve everyday. We appreciate the conversations had with Congressman Mike Thompson and Congressman Kevin Kiley, as well as Congressman Ami Bera and Congresswoman Doris Matsui for their continued work in supporting the region of VOA Northern California & Northern Nevada.
