Congratulations to 1st Pct Police Officer James Havens on being named this month's #TopCop PO Havens responded to a call in #Baldwin where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and suffered from an arterial bleed. He immediately used his own personal bleed-stop kit packing the wound with hemostatic dressing and applied pressure until paramedics arrived. The victim has since recovered, and doctors indicated that Officer Havens' action saved the man's life. (fb)
