Undated studio photograph (ca. 1921) of Modene M. (Mallett) Appell (1919-1999), on the left, and Virginia Madge Mallett (1918-2012), on the right. They were the daughters of Martin Baldwin Mallett (1879-1951) and Pearl Blanche (Christy) Mallett (1893-1975) of Plainville, Indiana. Both Madge and Modene graduated from Plainville High School; Madge in 1936 and Modene in 1937. This photo was part of a collection donated to the Daviess County Museum in 2025 by Marvin Ray Beeker. His wife, Catherine Jeanne (Mallett) Beeker, was the niece of Madge and Modene Mallett. (fb)
