The Katherine Dunham Centers for the Arts and Humanities manages the Katherine Dunham Dynamic Museum and Childrens Workshop located in East St. Louis, IL. They also sponsor the Katherine Dunham Technique Seminar that is held annually. KDCAHS fundamental purpose is to promote research and training in the arts and humanities leading to 1 Arts-based communication techniques for people of diverse cultures and 2 a multi-arts training program to humanize and socilize individuals.

The Katherine Dunham Museum houses Miss Dunhams outstanding collection of more than 250 African and Caribbean art objects from more than 50 countries. Tapestries paintings sculptures musical instruments and ceremonial costumes from around the world celebrate the human spirit of the Museum.
