So sorry for the delay in posting photos of our recent activities. We have had our page cloned so we now have to take extra precautions. You will see that all of our photos will now carry a watermark marking them property of HOME International. Hopefully you can still enjoy our pics and updates. These past few weeks have been very eventful. First of all, the school year ended and we celebrated FOUR graduates. We had TWO graduate from kindergarten and TWO graduate from 6th grade. Children's Day here in Guatemala is a big day. Our kids got to celebrate both at school and at HOME. We used the theme from the Disney movie "Inside Out" that is all about emotions. Our kids costumes were AMAZING as well as all of the decorations. Our teachers and nannies went above and beyond with their creativity. Then we had a wonderful group from Bethel in New York City. visit HOME for a week. The men did odd jobs around the property like cutting the grass, power washing patios and they also put in a garden with all kinds of vegetables. The ladies did activities with the children every morning and afternoon. What an incredible way to celebrate the first week of school vacation! Thank you Bethel for all that you did for us here at HOME. Then it was time to celebrate our 8th Anniversary. How incredible is that? We invited all of our staff, board members and mentors to join in the celebration. To honor our visitors from the US our eldest girl learned a song in English and sang it to them perfectly! I was ever so proud. :-) November 1st, is Kite Day in Guatemala, so our kids got to go to a farm with a big field to celebrate and fly the kites they made. Oh what fun! They got to feed the animals and learn all about goats, chickens and donkeys. All in all, LOTS to share from the past few weeks. Blessings to all of our faithful supporters and friends around the world. Thank you for making all of these special days, so special for our children. YOU are the best! (fb)

On the HOME campus this week. We have had several children down with the flu, cough and runny noses but thankfully nobody has been too sick. There were a few with fevers but it looks like everyone is now on the med. Thank the Lord for that! We celebrated a mini staff retreat at the Walker Center one morning. What a blessing that was to us all. We have a couple of pictures of the team building exercises we did together. That was so much fun. Thank you Luis and Paola for your kindness and words of wisdom that were imparted. One of our older girls had a recital and a couple of our staff were invited to hear her sing. We are so proud of how she is doing in her voice classes. We are thankful for our current volunteer who has not only been working with our kids and teaching English BUT has been doing a Bible Study with our older kids. They have been enjoying sharing their Bible knowledge. In the boys house, we have a couple of them doing "chores" and then showing off their homemade swords and bows and arrows. Nothing like having a great imagination! Thank you to all of our faithful sponsors for making it possible for each of our children to just be the kids that they are. Having all of their needs supplied they no longer have to worry about when the next meal might be or if they will have a place to lay their head tonight. You truly make a difference with every donation that you make. Thank you for all of your prayers and support (fb)
