Patuxent Riverkeeper connects and empowers Maryland citizens to act on behalf of conservation and environmental sustainability. We help empower grassroots communities to advocate for clean water. We also serve those communities and neighborhoods suffering from environmental health disparities and injustice while building a strong citizen movement to restore Maryland's longest and deepest intrastate river. These efforts result in a stronger overall community by creating a greater sense of racial and class diversity and inclusion .
