The #MarginOfExcellence is one of the things that makes a West Point education unique. From academics to athletics, the leadership opportunities outside the classroom for cadets is second to none. Here's a recap from the end of April into early May of just some of the activities cadets excelled in: 🤼 On April 26, the USMA Combatives team secured its first-ever victory over Navy with a dominating 19-9 final score. 🧭 The Orienteering team completed their final race of the semester with top finishes on the 23.6km course. 🏃 The West Point Army Marathon team also completed their final race of the year with cadets posting personal bests. 🌎 Cadets celebrated Earth Day by planting seeds. 🧗 The Mountaineering Club demonstrated advanced climbing skills and camping proficiency at the Shawangunk Mountains placing their own gear, setting anchors and climbing multiple pitch classics. 🤿 The USMA SCUBA team successfully executed its fifth and final Open Water Certification Trip for Academic Year 2025. 🥁 Pipes and Drums hosted the 40th West Point Tattoo with over 250 performers from 14 bands, plus the Black Knights drill team.
