Meet Mary – a spunky 9-year-old with a vibrant personality and the best pranks. This little trickster kept everyone at Miracle Marathon on their toes as she hid disgusting jellybeans among regular ones. In November of 2023, everything changed for Mary when excruciating pain led to a devastating diagnosis: leukemia. This brave fighter immediately began battling alongside her expert and compassionate care team at our Children’s Wisconsin MACC Fund Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. Now 18 months into her 2 ½-year treatment plan, Mary’s radiant spirit shines through every challenge. Her sparkly personality has touched everyone, from her doctors and nurses to Child Life specialists and our front desk receptionists. Mary is the true definition of courage.
