This year, MCPA has again initiated Equal Pay for Same Services legislation. House Bill 530, House Bill 309 and Senate Bill 499, “the Patients First Act”, would codify in State law section 2706 from the Affordable Care act which established federal non-discrimination protection for providers regarding inclusion in a plan and reimbursement based on license type. Legislators want to hear from their constituents, especially when it comes to legislation that impacts you and your profession. We can’t do it without your help! We need your participation to help safeguard patient access to needed care and an ability to seek care from the providers of their choice.
