IAHE IAHE Connecting Transportation Professionals Across Illinois Where Illinois Transportation Professionals Connect Grow and Shape the Future of Infrastructure. The Illinois Association of Highway Engineers founded in 1936 is an organization for transportation professionals of the Illinois Department of Transportation IDOT affiliates and corporate members. It is a chartered notforprofit nonsectarian and nonunion organization. The Associations program and activities are governed solely by its IDOT voting members through a Board of Directors elected by local Chapters corresponding to all of IDOTs nine Districts.
