Lamp For Haiti | Shining a Light on Health, Partnership and Community

Through the provision of quality cost-effective medical care and humanitarian assistance, the Lamp for Haiti works with and for the people of Haiti to improve the lives of some of the most marginalized persons in Haitian society. Lamp for Haiti is non-profit, non-sectarian and apolitical. Lamp for Haiti envisions a time when the communities we serve will meet their basic health and humanitarian needs on a self- sustaining basis. To that end, the Lamp for Haiti develops and empowers local professional and nonprofessional staff to carry out its mission, aligns its activities with the needs and interests of the local community, and cooperates in mutually beneficial and sustainable ways with Haiti's broader network of health organizations

We nurture healthier lives and brighter futures Welcome To Lamp For Haiti A Powerful Force For Health And ABeacon Of Hope In The Community We Serve Who We Are We are a nonprofit nonsectarian apolitical organization dedicated to providinghealth care and humanitarian aid to improve the lives of some of the mostmarginalized people in Haiti among the poorest in the Western Hemisphere. Our Work We deliver quality medical care to the community of Cite Soleil a huge shantytown on the outskirts of PortauPrince. Our committed staff has weathered hurricanes earthquakes civil unrest and political turmoil to provide lifesaving medical care to more than 15000 patients a year. Founding Story Many Haitians live on 50 cents a day and can only dream of regular visits to thedoctor leaving many to suffer and die from preventable and treatable diseases.
