Tickets: www.sipnaples.org The mission of Shakespeare in Paradise is to create quality professional theatre that celebrates the power, beauty and transcendence of language and theater. While Shakespeare in Paradise will concentrate on the works of William Shakespeare, we also endeavor to celebrate the works of other playwrights, who like Shakespeare himself, explore themes, life, and the human experience in theatrical and literary terms. Shakespeare in Paradise will establish and foster a professional ensemble of our best local actors, directors and designers in the hopes of enhancing our local culture by drawing the best professional artists and audience members to our area.  In addition, the aim of Shakespeare in Paradise is to work in concert with our local schools to introduce the young people of Southwest Florida to the possibilities of great language and drama, while demonstrating how theatre can facilitate learning, communication and understanding. Shakespeare in Paradise will provide access to professional classical theatre through our outreach program which will bring professional productions into the schools at no cost to the students. Shakespeare in Paradise will also initiate an internship program.  Through this program, we aim to introduce students between the ages of 16 and 25 to the disciplines of professional theater by allowing them to work side by side with trained actors and other theatrical professionals, to experience, first hand, the process of making great theatre.
