Over the last few years, we’ve seen the abortion access landscape change dramatically. Since the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade in 2022, 20 states have banned or severely restricted abortion, and as @vadogwoodnews recently reported, Virginia saw the largest abortion increase in the country last year. As the only southern state without a restrictive post-Dobbs abortion ban, Virginia has become a haven for folks forced to travel for care, and support networks like Blue Ridge Abortion Fund are working hard to meet the constantly-growing need for support.
