North American Family Institute (NAFI) was founded by Dr. Yitzhak Bakal in 1974 with a mission to reform and rehabilitate the youth justice system in Massachusetts. Initially operating out of a garage in Malden, MA, NFI grew to address broader community needs across the state. NFI Massachusetts continues this legacy by offering diverse community-based services.
