To free more children from the clutches of sexual predators, The Jimmy Ryce Center for Victims of Predatory Abduction was established in June of 1996 Jimmy Ryce Center for Victims of Predatory Abduction was founded after the kidnapping & murder of 9-yr-old Jimmy Ryce, Sept 11, 1995 near his Miami home. Jimmy Ryce was a 9-year-old boy who was kidnapped by a sexual predator at gunpoint, raped, and murdered on September 11, 1995. The Jimmy Ryce Center For Victims Of Predatory Abduction was established by his parents in his memory. The purpose of the Center is to help prevent the sexual exploitation and the predatory abduction of children, to provide resources to parents and law enforcement in case of an abduction, and to assist in bring abducted kids home safely. The primary Web site of the Center, http://www.jimmyryce.org, contains Jimmy's story, and a description of the various programs maintained by the Center, including a bloodhound placement program and a GEM (Great Escape Maneuver Program) which teaches kids how to be safe from predators.
