Mission Statement Our mission is to develop a self-supported facility that integrates within the community, is "green" and specializes in hands-on education programs (STEM) that serves all levels of visitor backgrounds and interests. We will promote conservation through education, interactive exhibits, research, field study, enlightenment and self-discovery. We will celebrate nature through discovering our planet and sharing these discoveries with explorers of all ages. Through these halls, we shall foster stewardship, awareness, understanding and appreciation of our water planet while defining humankind's role in interpreting, preserving, controlling and protecting Earth's wonders.We are dedicated to building the public trust through community involvement, committing to green technologies, educating the public to conserve and protect the wild places, making educational materials and programs available to the classroom, involving ourselves in innovative research, hosting public forums and lectures, presenting educational exhibits, creating documentaries that are informative and persuasive, speaking plainly about issues that concern all of us. Our vision is to inspire a generation of explorers and educators committed to discovery and living in harmony on our water planet. We will do this by:  Exhibiting the beauty and diversity of our planet. Educating with programs that encourage hands-on involvement. Developing programs that are thought provoking and fun. Advocating respect for the natural environment. Providing a balanced forum on issues that affect our planet and our lives. Exploring the far reaches of our planet and documenting our discoveries. Involving us in cutting edge research and sharing what we find. Promoting “Green “ technologiesOur values are simple. We believe in creating an atmosphere of equality, fairness, trust and service by: Recognizing that strength lies in teamwork. Exceeding the expectations of our team and those we serve. Providing excellent customer service and commitment to quality.  Embracing innovation, creativity, and humor and encouraging these qualities in our team.  Encouraging cultural diversity, personal growth and tolerance in others. Continuing to evolve the growth and financial stability of the organization. Having fun while we go about our mission.
