Mission Statement Our mission is to develop a self-supported facility that integrates within the community, is "green" and specializes in hands-on education programs (STEM) that serves all levels of visitor backgrounds and interests. We will promote conservation through education, interactive exhibits, research, field study, enlightenment and self-discovery. We will celebrate nature through discovering our planet and sharing these discoveries with explorers of all ages. Through these halls, we shall foster stewardship, awareness, understanding and appreciation of our water planet while defining humankind's role in interpreting, preserving, controlling and protecting Earth's wonders.We are dedicated to building the public trust through community involvement, committing to green technologies, educating the public to conserve and protect the wild places, making educational materials and programs available to the classroom, involving ourselves in innovative research, hosting public forums and lectures, presenting educational exhibits, creating documentaries that are informative and persuasive, speaking plainly about issues that concern all of us. Our vision is to inspire a generation of explorers and educators committed to discovery and living in harmony on our water planet.
