Restore Jordan Lake to a healthy and vibrant aquatic resource by removing trash from the shoreline and preventing further accumulation. MISSION: Restore Jordan Lake to a healthy and vibrant aquatic resource by removing trash from the shoreline and preventing its recurrence. GOALS: sustain and increase volunteer cleanups of the shoreline so as to keep up with the accumulation of trash and to develop educational messages that will reduce the input of trash. OBJECTIVES: offer a variety of volunteer opportunities to engage as many as possible; obtain funding to develop professionally produced videos and TV public service announcements; and hold meetings with elected officials and staff in the eight counties that comprise the Jordan Lake watershed to urge stricter enforcement of anti-litter and illegal dumping laws, expansion of recycling programs and education of local citizens.
