Today marks the 23rd anniversary of the formal end to rescue and recovery operations at Ground Zero. We thank the men and women who went above and beyond their job descriptions to try and bring our loved ones home. This year and every year, we remember our 658 friends, family and colleagues from Cantor Fitzgerald and 61 EuroBrokers who lost their lives on 9/11 and honor their lives and legacies through our continued work. #CantorRelief (fb)

When the Unthinkable Happens We Come Together Overview The Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund was established in response to the devastating loss of 658 Cantor Fitzgerald employees in the World Trade Center attacks on September 11 2001. Following that tragic event former Cantor Fitzgerald Chairman CEO Howard W. Lutnick pledged 25 of the companys profits over five years in addition to providing 10 years of healthcare coverage for the surviving family members. This incredible commitment totaled 180 million in support of the families.
